Intel Core i7 7600U | Review
Launched in early 2017, Intel Core i7 7600U is a 7th Gen mobile processor that has 2 Cores and 4 Threads based on Intel’s 14nm Kaby Lake architecture, with a base clock frequency of 2.80 GHz and a max Turbo frequency of 3.90 GHz and 4 MB of Intel smart L3 cache. It comes with different TDP configurations from 7.5 W to 25 W, However, 15 W is a default TDP. It has 12 lanes of PCIe Gen 3.0 and a dual memory channel that supports DDR4-2133, LPDDR3-1866, and DDR3L-1600. Intel Core i7 7600U comes with integrated Intel HD Graphics 620, with a base and maximum graphic frequency of 300 MHz and 1.15 GHz respectively, supports 4k video at 60 Hz, DirectX 12, and OpenGL 4.5.
Intel HD Graphics 6207th Gen Intel Core i7 7600U comes integrated with Intel HD Graphics 620 as part of its Kaby Lake generation based on a 14nm manufacturing process. The performance of Intel HD Graphics 620 depends on a number of factors such as L3 cache size, ram configuration, boost clock speed, and core count of the CPU.
How is the 7th Gen Intel Core i7 7600U for Gaming
The 7th Gen Intel Core i7 7600U is powered by Intel HD Graphics 620 which is similar in performance to that of AMD’s Vega 3 graphics. That being said the Intel HD should be able to do light gaming but we don’t recommend this GPU if you are serious about gaming.
