Launched in August of 2018 the Threadripper 2990WX is a part of AMD’s 2nd Threadripper lineup based on Pinnacle-Ridge Zen+ microarchitecture designed for the high-end desktop processor based on AMD’s WEPYC lineup with a more mainstream appeal. Based 12nm manufacturing process and Zen+ microarchitecture with a base clock of 3 GHz and a boost clock of 4.2 GHz. According to AMD the TDP of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX is configured at 250 Watts. Other key features include 80MB of Total Cache(L2+L3), Quad-channel DDR4 3200 Mhz memory support of up to 2TB, and 60 PCI express lanes.
