    Intel Pentium Gold 7505 Review

    Pentium Gold 7505 rview

launched in October of 2020 Pentium Gold 7505 by intel is a low-power dual-core processor target towards budget laptops as a part of the Tiger Lake-U lineup. Powered by two Willow Cove cores and 4 threads with a base clock of 2 GHz and a boost clock of 3.5 GHz. Based on intel’s 10-nanometer architecture Pentium Gold 7505 supports DDR4 memory of up to DDR4 3200 MHz, LPDDR4X 3733MHz with a TDP of 15 watts.  One of the headline features of the Pentium Gold 7505 is the Intel Xe Graphics G4 48EUs. The other features include AI hardware acceleration, and Thunderbolt 4, and WiFi 6.

In terms of performance, Pentium Gold 7505 sees improvement in the base clock, boost clock, L3 Cache, and IPC. Intel claims double digits improvement in IPC when comparing the Willow cove cores over Sunny cove cores.

Performance | How is the Intel Pentium Gold 7505 (Good or Bad)

The Intel Pentium Gold 7505 when it comes to real-world performance is slightly slower compared to the 10th Gen Intel Core i3 1005G1. It can easily handle your day-to-day tasks such as Browsing, Streaming, and using office productivity software. However, if your day-to-day workflow involves using video editing, photo editing, and CAD applications we recommend going for either a quad-core Ryzen processor or 8th gen Intel i5 or above. The 10-nanometer process allows the i3-1005G1 to run relatively cooler and consume less power compared to the previous generation.

IGPU: How is Intel Pentium Gold 7505 for Gaming (Intel Xe Graphics G4 48EUs)

Now the key highlight feature of the Intel Pentium Gold 7505 is the brand new Xe Graphics G4. The new Intel Xe Graphics G4 has 48 processing cores that should give performance similar to that of Nvidia Mx230 with 2GB Graphics. Pentium Gold 7505 is roughly 10 percent slower compared to 11th gen intel core i3 1115G4 in terms of gaming.

    ( 11th Gen Intel Core i3 1115G4 | 10th Gen Intel Core i3 1005G1 | AMD Ryzen 3 3250U | AMD Ryzen 5 3500U | AMD Ryzen 3 4300U | Intel Pentium Silver N6000 | Intel Pentium Gold 5405U | Intel Pentium Gold 6405U | AMD Ryzen 5 5500U | Intel Core i5-1135G7 )

    Cinebench R20 Benchmark

Based on cinema 4d the Cinebench R20 measures CPU performance in animation, 3d-modeling, simulation, and rendering. Single-core performance measures the responsiveness of the software under active workloads while the multi-core score measures the CPU’s ability to handle tasks such as rendering, encoding, and other workloads that benefit from better multi-threaded performance.
