The Acer ConceptD 7 CN715-71 is part of acer’s premium ConceptD line up which is powered by Hexa core i7 9750H and an RTX 2060 mobile. The is paired up with 16GB of Dual Channel RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.  Though the highlight feature of this laptop which is targeted towards digital content creators is its 4K display it also features a large 84 Watt-hour battery.

Design and Build Quality

The Acer ConceptD 7 CN715-71 has a premium design with a white aluminum chassis. Around the display, bezels are thin are relatively thin. The base of the device is made entirely of metal and does not show any flex. The display also does not have any flexing issues and this makes the device feel quite solid.

Keyboard and Trackpad

The Acer ConceptD 7 CN715-71 has a chicklet style backlit keyboard. The keys are tactile and concave for better grip through the keys are tightly packed you will still get a relatively good typing experience. The trackpad is large with a smooth finish and the arrow tracks across the screen smoothly reliably. Though the trackpad lacks dedicated mouse keys.

Performance

The Acer ConceptD 7 CN715-71 is powered by the Intel Core i7-9750H which comparable to the older Core i7-7820HQ when it comes to single-core performance and is capable of handling most of your day to day tasks with relative ease and when it comes to creative workflow it still remains an excellent solution. On the Graphics end of the game, the RTX 2060 Mobile performance is similar to that of the GTX 1070 Desktop variant and is just slightly better than the GTX 1660Ti Mobile. The RTX 2060 Mobile is best suited for Gaming at 1080p with ultra settings but we don’t recommend the use of ray tracing for most games capable of playing most AAA titles at 1080p with 120+ FPS or at 1440p with 60+ FPS. This paired with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage makes it a relatively good laptop for content creators and even gamers.

Upgradability

The Acer ConceptD 7 CN715-71 gives you a ton of options for upgradability but they are not easily accessible.

The 4K UHD panel on the Acer ConceptD 7 CN715-71 has a 60Hz Refresh rate and doesn’t suffer from and noticeable issues such as backlight bleeding and PWM flickering. The display here has an average color coverage and below-average brightness and suitable for outdoor use.
