AMD Epyc 7742
Launched in mid-2019 AMD Epyc 7742 is a 64 core, 128 thread processor designed for the servers as a part of its EPYC Rome lineup based on the 7 nm Zen 2 microarchitecture manufactured by TSMC and I/O by GlobalFoundries with a 14 nm process. According to AMD the 7742 has a TDP of 225 Watts with a base clock of 2.25 GHz and can be boosted up to 3.4 GHz. Other key features include two-way SMP(Symmetric multiprocessing) and support for eight-channel DDR4-3200 memory of up to 4TB in 8 channels or 16 DIMMs per CPU (16x 256GB.)
