AMD Radeon RX 6700XT | Review
AMD Radeon RX 6700XT is an upper mid-range graphics card for desktops based on AMDs RDNA2 architecture that uses the Navi 22 Chip. Launched in March of 2021 RX 6700XT is based on a 7nm manufacturing process and has 40 compute units, 2560 shaders units/stream processors, and 40 Ray Accelerators. The Radeon RX 6700XT has the same number of shaders units/stream processors as the RX 5700XT and the performance uplift is the result of the IPC gain and higher clock speeds from 1755 MHz on the RX 5700XT vs 2424 MHz on the RX 6700XT.
In terms of VRAM, the AMD Radeon RX 6700XT has 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM. It also features a 192-bit bus that gives it 384GB/s of bandwidth which is lower than its predecessor RX 5700XT which had a memory bandwidth of 448GB/s however with AMDs 96MB Infiny cache which allows for better memory access and operates at 1.5 TB/s.
