    AMD Ryzen 3 5300U | Review

AMD Ryzen 3 5300U was announced in January of 2021 as a part of its Lucienne generation for thin and light laptops. The 4 core 8 thread processor is based on the Zen 2 microarchitecture has a base clock of 2.6 GHz with a boost clock of 3.8 GHz. Based on TSMCs 7 nm process at TSMC. Ryzen 3 5300U has dual-channel memory support of DDR4-3200 and LPDDR4-4266 RAM with a Level 3 cache of 4MB. AMD has specified the TDP at 15 Watts but can be configured anywhere from 10 to 25 Watts. The GPU here is an Integrated RX Vega 6 Graphics.

    Performance

The AMD Ryzen 3 5300U when it comes to real-world performance is slightly better in performance than the AMD Ryzen 3 4300U and trades blows with the likes of 10th gen intel core i7 1065G7. Though AMD Ryzen 3 5300U can easily handle your day-to-day tasks such as Browsing, Streaming, and using office productivity softwares. However, when it comes to tackling more CPU-intensive tasks such as video editing, photo editing, and CAD applications the 5300U is capable of these workflows.

AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 (Ryzen 4000/5000)

AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 integrated graphics is based on AMD’s Vega architecture (5th Gen GCN). Powered by 6 CUs/384 shaders. The performance of the Vega 6 Graphics depends on a number of factors such as the configured TDP (12-25 Watts), Clock Speed, Cooling Solution, and RAM configuration. The integrated GPU greatly benefits from fast dual-channel memory. The Renoir APUs now also support the LPDDR4x memory giving the Renoir APU some performance. Based on the previous-gen vega architecture the only difference is the 7nm which gives the new vega GPUs a significant power boost.

How is AMD Ryzen 3 5300U for Gaming

The New AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 (Ryzen 4000/5000 series) graphics are almost 20 percent faster than the last-gen Vega 8 (2000/3000 series). When compared to its Nvidia counterparts the Vega 6 scales above the Mx230 and comes close to Mx150 and Mx330 in terms of performance.

    Cinebench Benchmark

Based on cinema 4d the Cinebench measures CPU performance in animation, 3d-modeling, simulation, and rendering.

    Cinebench R20 (Single-Core)

Single-core performance measures the responsiveness of the software under active workloads.

    AMD Ryzen 3 5300U

    Cinebench R20 Multi Core

Multi-core score measures the CPU’s ability to handle tasks such as rendering, encoding, and other workloads that benefit from better multi-threaded performance.
