    AMD Ryzen 5 5625U | Review

Launched in January of 2022, AMD Ryzen 5 5625U is an 6 Core/12 Thread processor for thin and light laptops with a base clock of 2 GHz and can be boosted to 4.5 GHz. The chip is based on the Zen 3 microarchitecture is manufactured on a 7 nm process by TSMC with a TDP of 15 Watts Watts. Other Key features Include AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 integrated Graphics, and support for DDR4 3200MHz and Low power LPDDR4 4266MHz RAM.

    Performance

In terms of performance, the AMD Ryzen 5 5625U is slightly better than its predecessor the 5600U and is comparable to 5600Hs. However, if we’re to compare 5625U with Ryzen 5 6600U or its intel 12th Gen Intel i5 counterparts it is not able to compete.

    AMD Radeon RX Vega 7

The AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 Graphics comes integrated with AMD Ryzen 7 4000 series CPUs and Ryzen 5 5000 series CPUs. Launched in January of 2020 the iGPU is based on Vega architecture and comes with 7 CUs clocked at 1.8 GHz.

How is AMD Ryzen 5 5625U for gaming

The Ryzen 5 5625U is powered by the Vega 7 Graphics which has a performance comparable to that of Nvidia Mx250 with 2GB of graphics memory and slightly below Vega 8 graphics and is capable of gaming at the medium setting with decent frame rates. That being said performance of the Vega 7 Graphics depends on a number of factors such as the configured TDP (12-25 Watts), Clock Speed, Cooling Solution, and RAM configuration.

    Geekbench 5 Benchmark

The GeekBench Single-core score can estimate the real-world performance of applications such as Ms word, Google Chrome, and several games. The GeekBench Multi-core score can be used to estimate the real-world performance of a CPU under professional workloads such as data compression, 2d/3d rendering, machine learning, and physics simulation(CAD applications). AMD Ryzen 5 5625U has a GeekBench single-core score of 1437 and a multi-core score of 6351 making it 21.50% faster in single-core score core performance and 11.34% faster than AMD Ryzen 5 5500U.
