Based on TSMCs 7 nm process and Zen 2 microarchitecture with a base clock of 3.5 GHz and a boost clock of 4.5 GHz. According to AMD the TDP of the Threadripper 3970WX is configured at 280 Watts. Other key features include 144 MB of Total Cache(L2+L3), 4 channel DDR4 3200 Mhz memory support of up to 512GB, 64 PCI express lanes. AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X is compatible with all sTRX4 motherboards based on AMD TRX40 chipsets however in some cases you need a bios update.
