Laptop Review: ASUS TUF Gaming A17 TUF706IH-ES75

The Asus TUF Gaming A17 TUF706IH-ES75 is powered by the 8 core AMD Ryzen 7 4800H processor and a GTX 1650 with 4GB of VRAM. The display here is the 120Hz FHD (1920x1080p) panel. Other specs include 16GB RAM and 1TB HDD+512GB SSD. This is an excellent laptop if you are a professional creator and engineer or a gamer the issue being its poor display.

Design and Ports

The chassis of the Asus TUF Gaming A17 TUF706IH-ES75 is entirely made out of plastic and has a smooth grey finish and it looks quite good. It has a tuff design except for the lid which wobbles a little this may be due to the thin 7mm thin bezels around the display. The bottom panel can be removed once you remove the 11 Philips head screws. Here you can find the following. Keyboard and Trackpad

The Asus TUF Gaming A17 TUF706IH-ES75  has a chicklet style backlit keyboard. The WASD keys are transparent and get a little extra RGB backlight. Considering its size Asus could have gone for bigger arrow keys. The trackpad here is also a rather small one (10.9 x 5.9 cm) but it has a smooth matte surface though it lacks a little precision.

Overall Performance

The Asus Tuf Gaming A17 TUF706IH-ES75 is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H which is slightly more powerful than the i7 10750H and is comparable to i9 9980HK in terms of performance. The 4800H with its 7nm manufacturing process and Zen 2 architecture gives its Intel counterparts a really hard time. The GTX 1650, on the other hand, is an entry-level GPU with limited potential for GPU intensive tasks such as 3D rendering and Gaming. Now compared to the previous GTX 1650 is about 40 percent more powerful than GTX 1050ti and is about 15 percent slower when compared to GTX 1060.  The 16GB of RAM and 1 TB HDD + 512GB of SSD storage should be enough for practically anyone percent of the users and you can also add storage very easily on this laptop.
