Laptop Review: Lenovo Ideapad C340 81TK008HIN 2 in 1 

The Lenovo Ideapad C340 81TK008HIN 2 in 1 Laptop powered by the 10th gen intel i3 10110U processor and Intel UHD 620 Graphics with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD storage. The display here is a 10 point Touchscreen with (1920×1080) FHD Resolution.  The Specs on this laptop is are great for day to day use with decent multitasking capabilities which makes it a great laptop for students and most office productivity use cases.  

Design and Ports

The Lenovo Ideapad C340 81TK008HIN has a plastic chassis with an aluminum lid and it’s thin bezels the design feels quite premium. The hinge design is quite simple and allows the 360 degrees spin for a tablet mode. The laptop weighs in at 1.65 Kg which is a little heavy for a table but it makes it a very portable laptop. Once you remove the back panel you can the RAM and Storage with one SO-DIMM slot and M.2 Slot both of which are occupied.

Keyboard and Trackpad

The Keyboard on the Lenovo Ideapad C340 81TK008HIN has U-Shaped keys with backlights which is similar to that of other Lenovo business laptops. The typing experience on the C340 81TK008HIN is quite comfortable the up and down arrow keys are half in size and there is no dedicated number pad. The trackpad, on the other hand, is fast and accurate and is great for gestures.

CPU: 10th Gen Intel Core i3-10110U

The Intel Core i3-10110U is a power-efficient low-end processor for thin and light laptops and  2 in 1s. The dual-core processor comes with 4 Threads and is based on Comet Lake-U architecture. The 10110U has a base clock speed of 2.1 GHz and the clock speed and boosted to up to 4.1 GHz. When compared with the previous generation (i3-8145U), the 10110U sees a slight improvement in clock speeds. Intel has specified a TDP of 15 Watts and depending on the use case this can vary from 7.5 Watts to 25 Watts. The i3-10110U is mostly found in thin and light laptops.

The i3-10110U is about 5 percent faster than the previous 8th Gen intel core i3 8145U.

RAM: 8GB

The RAM on the Lenovo Ideapad C340 81TK008HIN is configured at 2666 MHz and Runs in Dual-channel. One memory stick is soldered on to the motherboard while the other occupies the one SO-DIMM slot on this device.

Storage: 512 GB SSD

The Storage on this device is configured at 512 GB which is an M.2 SSD with high transfer speeds which you can upgrade as there a 2.5 Inch SATA Slot available. 

GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620

The Intel UHD Graphics 620 has 24 graphical units. You can do light gaming on it with medium to low settings but you won’t be able to play any modern AAA titles.

Display: BOE CQ NV140FHM-N48

The IPS display at 1920×1080 with Anti Glare technology and a peak brightness of 250 nits. The contrast ratio is 800:1 and an sRGB rating of 63%, 60Hz Refresh Rate with a decent viewing angle. The choice of screen is crucial for photo editing, technical capabilities will prove vital if your line of work requires accurate color and detail. The optimal viewing distance is over 60 cm or 24 inches beyond this distance individual pixels are not visible.
