The Intel Core i5-9300H is a Mid-Range processor for Gaming Laptops. The Quad-core processor comes with 8 Threads and is based on the Coffee Lake architecture. The 9300H has a base clock of 2.4 GHz and the clock speed can be turbo boosted to up to 4.1 GHz. When compared to its previous generation, the Core i5-8300H, the 9300H sees a slight increment in its clock speed of about 100 MHz Intel has specified a TDP of 45 watts, therefore the i5 is only suited for bulkier Gaming Laptops with good cooling solutions. The CPU can also be configured to 35 Watt using cTDP-down, resulting in reduced performance.

Performance

The Intel Core i5-9300H is comparable to the older Core i7-7920HQ and is almost 10 percent faster than 8300H. 

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660Ti  

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660Ti mobile is based on Turing Architecture and 12 nm manufacturing process. The 6 GB Graphics Card with GDDR6 memory is clocked at 12 GHz with a 192 Bit memory interface that creates a bandwidth of 288.0 GB/s and operates at 192-bits is attached via PCIe 3.0 x16 interface and Power consumption is at 80 Watt.  The 1660Ti is a High-end Mid-range graphics card primarily aimed at Gamers the performance just falls short of the GTX 1070, however, GTX 1650 and GTX 1060 pales in comparison to that of GTX 1660Ti. The GTX 1660Ti scores about 40 percent in overall synthetic and gaming benchmarks when compared to the market leader AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT.

The Lenovo Legion Y540 81SX00GHIN has a decent gaming performance and you should be able to play most AAA at 60+ FPS at Ultra settings. The limitation is the 1080p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The following benchmarks are for the GTX 1660Ti mobile.
