The Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G4 ABA 21DK004YUS is powered by the 6 Core/ 12 Thread processor the AMD Ryzen 5 5625U and AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 . Other key specs include 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and a 14 Inch FHD (1920 x 1080) 60 Hz display.

Design and Build Quality

Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G4 ABA 21DK004YUS chassis has uses aluminum for the cover and the base while the top part of the bottom is made of matching lacquered plastic, it surely gives a feeling of using a premium laptop with its thin and light design, silver and grey looking colors. It is a perfect choice for an office laptop. The back is also pretty neat with the Lenovo logo on the side and ‘Thinkbook’ written on the back with larger fonts. The lid opens up to 180 degrees. The Lenovo Thinkbook 14 G4 is very light and slim, even lighter than the HP Pavilion 14-DV, weighing around 1.45 KG.

Keyboard and Trackpad

Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G4 ABA 21DK004YUS has a backlit keyboard with haptic feedback and low-key travel time, which is pretty similar to keyboards found in Ideapad. The trackpad is also decent and comfortable to use. Keys has pretty decent space between them giving it a clean look. There is no num pad due to its small size. You will not find the TrackPoint like the one from Ideapad.

Ports

The Lenovo Thinkbook 14 G4 does not have support for Thunderbolt or even USB 4, but it does come with an SD card reader and extra USB sockets. On the left side of the laptop you have: 2x USB type-C which supports Power delivery and Displayport, HDMI, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 3.5mm Headset. On the right side, you have an SD card reader, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, RKJ45 LAN, and Kensington Lock.  

Display

The Lenovo Thinkbook 14 G4 comes with a matte FHD (1920×1080) display with a refresh rate of 60Hz and 62.9% sRGB coverage is more than sufficient for office work. The display has 283.4 nits of brightness, which is quite bright given the fact that the display is matte.

Upgradability 

The laptop comes with 512 GB of Samsung SSD PM991a which is a PCIe 3.0 x4 based, M.2 2242 type solid state drive, plus you also get 1 free M.2 slot for storage, and also the given SSD is replaceable. 

When it comes to RAM, This particular laptop comes with DDR4-3200 RAM, with an extra 1x SO-DIMM slot for upgrades.

 Battery Life.

Even with 45Wh of a small battery, The Lenovo Thinkbook 14 G4 shines out in terms of battery life due to Ryzen 5 Barcelo series processor, It can remain idle for almost 18 hours and it can last more than 7 hours while browsing the internet with WIFI.
