The MSI Modern 14 B4MW-238IN is powered by the 6 core AMD Ryzen 5 4500U and AMD Vega 6 Graphics. The display here has a 14 Inch 60Hz FHD panel. Other specs include 8GB of Single-Channel 3200 MHz RAM and 512GB SSD. This laptop is a well-balanced thin and light laptop.

Design

The chassis of the MSI Modern 14 B4MW-238IN has a black aluminum chassis and has a premium feel. The 14 Inch laptop only weighs in at only at 1.3 Kg. The Base has an ergo lift to allow for better airflow and a better typing experience.

Keyboard and Trackpad

The MSI Modern 14 B4MW-238IN has a chicklet style backlit keyboard. The keys here are large and have a key travel of 1.5 mm though with the smaller chassis the keys feel a little mushed together. The trackpad on the other hand has an unresponsive area at its edges but otherwise is a decent trackpad.

Overall Performance

The MSI Modern 14 B4MW-238IN is powered by the 6 core ryzen 5 4500U which is slightly more powerful than the 10th gen i7 1065G7. The 4500U should be able to handle most of your active workloads of Photo and Video editing or any other CPU-intensive task without a problem through the ram can prove to be a bottleneck you can easily upgrade it without any problem 8GB of RAM which you can easily upgrade. The Vega 6 graphics, on the other hand, has very limited gaming potential but considering it is only an entry-level GPU and competes with the likes of Nvidia’s Mx230 and Mx150 in terms of performance. The 512GB SSD of storage should be enough for an average user, but unfortunately, there is only one m.2 slot so there is a very limited scope for upgradability.
