    Launched in April 2018, AMD Ryzen 5 2600X is a desktop processor made using TSMC 12nm FinFET processor technology on the Zen+ microarchitecture codenamed “Pinnacle Ridge”. With 6 cores and 12 threads, the processor has a base clock speed of 3.6 GHz which can go up to a max boost clock speed of 4.2 GHz, and with an option to overclock, Ryzen 5 2600X is great for gamers and creators. Other key features include 16 MB of L3 cache, a default TDP of 95 W, 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes for expansion, and support of DDR4-2933 RAM. AMD Ryzen 5 2600X supports AM4 chipset motherboards like B450, X370, or X470.
