HP Victus 16-D1075NR Review
The HP Victus 16-D1075NR is powered by the 14 Core/ 20 Thread processor the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 12700H and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 6 GB VRAM. Other key specs include 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD and a 16.1 Inch FHD (1920 x 1080) 144Hz display.
How is HP Victus 16-D1075NR in terms of Performance
HP Victus 16-D1075NR comes with the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 12700H which in terms of performance is significantly better than the 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11980HK and slightly better than Ryzen 9 6900Hx.The GPU on the other hand Nvidia RTX 3060 Mobile is comparable to RTX 2070 Super mobile and is capable of playing games like GTA at 100 FPS with Ultra settings. This paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD storage you should be able to practically handle everything.Design and Build Quality
The HP Victus has a 16.1 Inch chassis weighing in at 2.46 Kg/5.4 pounds and measuring in at 14.6 x 10.2 x 0.9 inches. The chassis here is constructed out of plastic, but it feels fairly robust with minimal flex. The overall design is similar to that of HP Omen and has a premium feel to it. The hinge here could have been better as while opening the device with one hand the laptop moves and the display is prone to wobbling.
Ports
- 1x USB 3 (Type C)
- 3x USB 3.0 (Type A)

Upgradability
You can easily remove the back panel by removing the Philips head screws, there you can find two RAM slots and two M.2 slots.
Keyboard and Trackpad
The keyboard on the HP Victus 16 has a chicklet style backlit keyboard with somewhat of an unusual layout. The keys here are a clear actuation point and giving the end-user an above-average typing experience once you get used to the layout. We appreciate the full-size Numpad but the arrow keys remain small. The trackpad on the other hand fairly large measuring 12.5cm in width and 8cm in height with a smooth finish. We have zero complaints about precision and gesture controls.
Battery
With its 70 Watt-hour battery the HP Victus which will give you approximately 6 hours of web browsing with average brightness.
