Intel Processor U300 | Review

Launched in January of 2023, Intel Processor U300 is a low-end laptop processor powered by one performance core with 2 threads and 4 efficiency cores with 4 threads. The performance core has a base clock of 1.2 GHz and a boost clock of 4.4 GHz the efficiency cores, on the other hand, have a base clock of 0.9GHz and a boost clock of 3.3GHz.

How is Intel Processor U300 in terms of performance (Good or Bad)

Intel Processor U300 can easily take care of your day-to-day tasks such as Browsing, Streaming, and office productivity workloads. That being said we won’t recommend the Intel Processor U300 for video editing, photo editing, and CAD workloads I am not going to recommend the Intel Processor U300. In terms of raw performance, it is comparable to the 11th Gen Intel Core I3 1115G4.

Architecture and other features

Intel Processor U300 is based on the 10 nm architecture with the 13th Gen CPUs. The TDP of this Chip as specified by Intel is 15 watts and can go up to 55 Watts. It also supports new faster DDR5 memory of up to  5200MHz and low-power LPDDR5 5200MHz while also supporting DDR4 memory of up to 3200MHz and low-power LPDDR4X 4267MHz. The iGPU here is Intel UHD Graphics Xe G4 48EUs.

How is Intel Processor U300 for gaming

Intel Processor U300 is powered by Intel UHD Graphics Xe G4 48EUs and when it comes to performance, Intel UHD Xe Graphics G4 when it comes to integrated graphics solutions performs relatively well and goes toe with the likes of AMD Vega 5 (4000 series) Graphics and Nvidia Mx230 Graphics. That being said it is compared AMDs latest offerings it is relatively slow. This means Intel Processor U300 should be able to play titles such as GTA 5 at 40+ FPS at (1366×768).
